Article 1
The organization shall be known as INTERNATIONAL STAR RIDERS ASSOCIATION (ISRA).
Article 2
A member shall be any person who
has satisfactorily made application to ISRA, has agreed in principal to the Mission Statement as set forth by the ISRA Counsil, and
who has a signed liability waiver on file with ISRA. Any member may be removed from the ISRA in cases of gross misconduct, unlawful
behavior, or any other cases which, after review by the ISRA Counsil, warrant said removed.
Section A
A Full Member shall be any person
who owns a Star model of Yahama Motorcycle. A Full Member shall have one vote in the event a matter comes before the general membership.
A Full Member may sponsor Associate Members, as defined in Section B, in the ISRA.
Section B
An Associate Member shall be any person
who does not own a Star model of Yahama motorcycle, and has obtained sponsorship by a Full Member in good standing. An Associate Member
shall have no vote in the event a matter comes before the general membership.
Article 3
The officers of the ISRA shall include President,
Vice President, Secretary, & Treasurer. In addition, there may be Councillors serving as ancillary officers to assist in the administration
of the ISRA in roles such as forum moderator(s), advertising representative(s), marketing director(s), newsletter editor, Constellation
Coordinator(s), & Galazy Officer(s), Counsil advisor(s), and in such other positions as are deemed necessary. These officers and counsillors
together shall constitute the ISRA Council.
Section A
The duties of the ISRA Council shall be to act in all matters put forth for the
operation and well-being of the ISRA; to properly investigate and present to the ISRA membership revelant business and activity situations;
to develop and coordinate Constellations within the ISRA; and to make final decisions on member expulsions and/or Constellation suspensions
and revocations.
Section B
The duties of the President shall be to preside at all stated meetings of the ISRA Counsil as are practible;
have general supervision of the affairs of the ISRA; to appiont any person or committee not otherwise ordered by the Counsil; assist
all other officers and counsilors in the performance of their duties; and to actively promote the ISRA and its activities to both
current and prospective members and the public.
SectionC
The duties of the Vice President shall be to perform all the duties of the
President in the event of the absence of the President.
Section D
The duties of the Secretary shall be to keep records of the ISRA;
to handle club correspondence as directed by the Council; and other duties which normally fall to this office.
Section E
The duties
of the Treasurer shall be to collect receipts and make disbursements of all ISRA funds; maintain accurate records of such funds; provide
financial reports to the Counsil on a timely basis; and other duties which normally fall to this office.
Section F
The duties of the
other counsilors shall be to maintain a presence on the ISRA Internet Site and forum in their respective venues; and to fulfill any
other duties which normally fall to their departments.
Section G
The duties of the Council Advisors shall be to maintain a presence
on the ISRA Internet Site and forum in order to aid discussions especially amoung current full Council Members. Council Advisors are
those Councillors who were previously full Council Members and desired to remain on the Council in an advisory capacity. Council Advisors
shall be designated by a majority vote of full Councillors, however, Counsil Advisors have no voting privileges. Associate Members
with specific skills needed by ISRA may be voted in under Special Appointment and fall under the Council Advisor designation. Council
Advisors may resign at will but may only be reinstated by Council vote.
Article 4
The ISRA Council shall be filled by appointment, confirmed
by a simple majority vote of existing Council members. All offices are filled, and duties performed, on a volunteer basis with no
compensation due any individual. Term of service shall be until terminated by either the office holder or by a simple majority vote
of the Council.
Article 5
Constellations are recognized as chapters of the ISRA. To receive a Charter of offical recognition as an ISRA
Constellation, the group must abide by ISRA Constellation Guidelines. Failure to maintain its conduct according to ISRA principles
and guidelines may warrant the suspension and/or revocation of the Constellation's Charter.
Article 6
This Constitution may be amended
only by at least 2/3 majority vote of Council members, and shall be followed by an appropriate notice to the general membership.
