The Lake Michigan Circle Tour is about 920 miles from Green Bay, WI all the way around the pond. This ride should take about 17 hours of actual driving (not taking into account stopping for gas, traffic problems, or detours).
We are planning to head South from Green Bay thru Milwaukee and Chicago, then up thru Michigan, making it to Traverse City, MI on (Highway 31) by the end of the first day (which is 542 miles from our starting point). The second day we will complete the circle tour by riding the last 365 miles thru Mackinaw City and Escanaba, Mi, and back to our starting point in De Pere, WI.
This will be an "endurance" ride, something I have wanted to do for a few years. A little sight-seeing, but 95% riding! Although there is an actual map of the entire circle tour, we will be taking some different roads once we get into lower Michigan.
