We found this festival in 2008 (by accident!). The River Roots Live Festival features great live bands and world famous rib vendors from different parts of the country. The event is free!
We will be meeting in two different locations for this ride:
De Pere - meeting at 6:00am at the BP Station off Highway 41, leaving at 6:15am
Appleton - meeting at 7:00am at the McDonald's on Highway 21 right off Highway 41 (exit 119) leaving at 7:15am
The trip is 305 miles from De Pere. We will stop for lunch along the way, somewhere around Platteville, WI.
River Roots Live is an all day event. We should reach our hotel by 3:00pm, have a little time to relax, and then head to the festival around 5pm.
We will leave for home Sunday mid-morning for a breakfast stop at the Iowa 80 Truckstop, the world's largest truckstop. After breakfast, we will head up the Mississippi River on Highway 84 and back home.
